I've placed the event and group news widget on my public website but nothing is displaying. What should I do?

After you've placed the widget on your public website you need to select the events you want to be shared on the public website. This way, only select items (rather than every entry) will appear on your website.


Note: Only group administrators or members with event posting permissions can share  events on your public website.


Follow the steps below to share an event or group news entry on your public website.


To show a featured event on your group's public website using the Featured Events Widget:

 

  • Go to  [group name] > Events

 

  • Click on the title of an event

 

  • Click the "Edit this event" link located in the red author toolbox on the right

 

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and check the "Share this event on the public group website" box.

 

  • Be sure to save your changes

 


To share a news entry in the group news widget:
 

  • Go to [group name] > News

 

  • Click on the title of a news entry

 

  • Click the "Edit/Delete this entry" link located in the red author toolbox on the right

 

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and check the "Share this entry on public group website

 

  • Be sure to save your changes
