Changing membership types, end dates, and renewal method

Group leaders can change a member's membership type, end date, or renewal status by going to [group name] > Utilities > Manage > Manage membership > Members. Here, group leaders can filter by active members, suspended members, and former members. Changes to membership types, end dates, and renewal type can only be changed for active members. Therefore, to make any of the above changes, simply click on the "active members" tab and follow the instructions below.


 

To change current membership types:

  • Check the box(s) next to the member(s) for whom you wish to change membership types.
  • From the "select action" drop-down menu, choose "change current membership type" and pick the desired membership type from the list.
  • Click "Save."

 

Please note: Changing membership types will give a member the new type but will not change his or her end date to correspond with the chosen type. You'll need to change end dates independently of membership types.


 

To change current membership end dates:

  • Check the box(s) next to the member(s) for whom you wish to change membership types.
  • From the "select action" drop-down menu, choose "change current membership end date."
  • Enter a date or pick one from the mini calendar if this membership term should end. Or, simply indicate that this membership never ends if you want this to be a "forever" membership.
  • Click "Save."

 

If your group has automatic renewals enabled, group admins can change the renewal method for specific members.


To change renewal types:


 

  • Check the box(s) next to the member(s) for whom you wish to change membership types.
  • From the "select action" drop-down menu, choose "change how renewals are sent."
  • Choose either "Automatically" or "Manually." Please note: If you choose "Manually," the specified member(s) will not recieve an invitation to renew unless a group leader manually sends one.
  • Click "Save."
